Alcudia is a medieval town located on a peninsula that separates the bays of Pollença and Alcúdia. This town has evolved as a major tourist centre in the North of Majorca on the eastern coast. Houses dating back to the 13th century are preserved here and the town is surrounded by a medieval wall. The old harbour of Puerto de Alcúdia has developed into a major resort for European tourism. Most of the hotels are located in Port d'Alcúdia and Platja d'Alcúdia.

Local Markets:
Explore local markets held on Sundays and Tuesdays

Stroll around the old walls: Absorb the view of old town of Alcudia and the Bay of Pollensa

Visit the Bullring. Located north of the town. The price is 2€ and it includes a drink.

Roman Ruins:There are remains of a Roman town just outside the medieval town walls, in front of the Church of St. Jaume, belonging to the ancient city of Pollentia. Also visit the Roman Ampitheatre.

Explore Carrer Major street: Shop your heart out here

Coves and beaches: Ideal for sunbathing, swimming or snorkeling. Beach here is 14 km long and stretches as far as C'an Picafort.

St. Jaume Festival: Goes on for nine days at the beginning of July. Each street decorations are based on a theme. Various festivities are held during this period. Few of them are Night of the Romans where the streets are full of locals dressed in traditional ancient Roman dresses, La Noche de Sant Jaume, a fireworks display and philharmonic concert by the old walls.

Alcudia Xperience Bus: Explore the Port city of Alcudia and historical town by the Alcudia Xperience Bus which is an open transport with no rooftop. Nightlife: The port zone of the Alcudia is the place you will discover the vast majority of the bars and clubs. Bananas Disco complex, The marina range, Shamrock bar, The Irish bar, Comics bar are few of the best spots to explore nightlife here although Alcudia is not specifically popular for nightlife.

How to Reach Alcudia Old Town

From Alcudia Port, old town can be reached

on foot:
takes 20-30 minutes and it is a nice walk. Not recomended in the warm months.

by taxi: costs 6-12 euros depending on the area where you stay. You can order a taxi at any hotel.

by public bus: costs 1,50 euros and it runs every 20 minutes, picking up all around the resort. Look for bus no. 2. Avoid market days (Tuesday and Sunday mornings).

by bike: you can rent a bike from your hotel and go there cycling.

From Palma, Alcudian can be reached by

Bus: 351. Takes approx. 42 minutes.

Rideshare: This is the cheapest option.

Self Drive: Alcudia is approx. 55 Kms from Palma.
