Artis Royal Zoo, also known as Natura Artis Magistra, is located in the centre of Amsterdam and is oldest zoo in Netherlands. Artis not only has zoo but also has an aquarium and a planetarium.

Botanical Garden: diversity of plants, trees and shrubs, as well as exotic species in acclimatized greenhouses
Micropia: state-of-the-art museum dedicated to the marvels of micro-organisms
Planetarium: evolution of planet from the birth of the universe to the present day as well as explore the star systems.
Zoological Museum: interesting scientific collections of the early 19th century, as well as a number of exhibitions
During the summer (June, July and August) on Saturday evenings, Zoo is open till sunset, with a special program called ZOOmeravonden with events for children, music, guided tours and more.
