Dome structure and luminous mosaics, make this cathedral memorable. It was originally built to house the corpse of St. Mark. After a fire incident, this building was rebuilt in the current modern version. 
Various treasures are on display in the museum, highlight is the Quadriga of St Mark's, a group of four bronze horses. 
Dome structure and mosaics stand out during sunset. Entry is free of cost although one has to maintain the dressing etiquette i.e knees and shoulders covered.
