Botafogo is a beachfront neighborhood (bairro) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is located between the hills of Mundo Novo, Dona Marta (which separates it from Laranjeiras) and São Joãothe.  Botafogo is full of quirky, unique bars and each one of them follow their own beat. Botafogo area has an alternative, different from crowd, hipster flair.

Botafogo is home to  lively nightlife and popular restaurants. This area is within easy reach of Rio's famous beaches due to its metro stations.
