Cala Figuera is located 60 km to the south east of Palma. It is a district of Santanyí on the island of Majorca/Mallorca. Cala Figuera is a fishing village situated in a bay surrounded by cliffs. The location and picturesque surrounding of the village has gradually gathered attention of tourists.
It stretches from high cliffs to the south of the town to the fishing harbour at the end of a Fjord-like inlet which holds some of the most picturesque traditional buildings in the whole of Majorca, as well as a number of millionaires' mansions overlooking the scenic harbour entrance.
This tranquil and picturesque town of Cala Figuera is still away from Mass Commercialization which makes it an offbeat location to visit in Mallorca. You will not find it in any of the major tour operators brochures and there is no popular public transport, you will have to rent a car or book a taxi.
Cala Figuera doesn't have its own beach but there are nearby beaches, the nearest at 4 km south at Cala Santanyi or at Cala Llombard. These can be reached on foot or by the coastal bus. There are also nearby rocky coves for swimming.
