Castelo de S. Jorge, also known as Lisbon castle, is situated at the hilltop overlooking the historic centre of the Portuguese city of Lisbon and Tagus River. Apart from portugese history, this monument also provides many cultural and recreational activities to its visitors.

The castle provides free and informative tours of the monument, and if your visit coincides with one of these tours it is highly recommended to join.
You can climb the hill while enjoying the small streets on the way. The hike is not very difficult.
