To avoid the long ticket queue, visitors can arrive early in the morning or buy an entrance ticket in the Palatine Hill as it is less crowded. Roma Pass also allows free entry to the Colosseum.

The Colosseum is free for all on the first Sunday of every month. On other days there is an entry fee of € 16 to € 18. The entry is free for Roma Pass holders.

Yes. From April - October, visits will be from 8pm - midnight, Monday - Saturday. In November and December, visits will be from 6pm-10pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Are centurions allowed around the Colosseum ?
Although centurions were banned previously but in 2017 a regional tribunal has ruled in favour of centurions ( street artists dressed as gladiators).
