Dharamkot is a hippie place and it is beautiful as well as quaint. If you want to explore offbeat less crowded place then your search ends here, although this place is not perfect for those who are not interested in hiking, trekking etc. A base for multiple hikes in the Himalayas such as Triund, Illaqua, Indrahar Pass, etc, this village has a famous ‘Trek and Dine’ restaurant.

A contrast to Tibetian world, you will find Punjabis and Haryanvis in this part of Mcleodganj. You will find many home stays here, many foreign travelers and backpackers make Dharamkot their abode for considerable period.
