Fisherman's Bastion is a terrace situated on the Castle Hill around Matthias Church and serves as a lookout tower offering the best panoramic views in Budapest. Fisherman’s Bastion is one of the top attractions in Budapest. The tower doesn’t at all look like a defensive structure but it is a fairytale fantasy world construct restored between 1895 to 1902.

The panoramic view from here includes the river Danube, Chain Bridge, the Hungarian Parliament, the Castle Hill, the Gresham Palace and others. The Fisherman’s Bastion in Budapest is one of the most visited places in the city.

The 7 turrets of the tower represents the 7 Hungarian tribes who founded the Hungary. There is a Cafe on the terrace of the Fisherman’s Bastion where you can relax and spend quality time.
