Golden Gai is famous for its nightlife and feel of Old Tokyo, located in Shinjuku. This area has six tiny alleys, lined with 200 shops. The buildings here seem very old and every building house many bars and pubs.
Many of the Pubs and restaurants are themed, some hospital-themed, S&M club or green-grass-covered walls. Few of the known names are Tachibana Shinsatsushitsu, Happy Bar, Hair of the Dog, La Jetee.
Few Local favorites are: Albatross , Death Match in Hell, Bar Darling, Bitter Orange, Kenzo’s Bar, Ace’s

How to Reach From Shinjuku Station, take the East Exit. Walk ahead to the Shinjuku Ward Office, then turn right. You will arrive at Golden Gai in under three minutes from leaving the station.
