Greenmarket Square is a historical square of cape town famous for its hustling and bustling flea market. Visitors come to this oldest market of cape town for collecting souvenirs and locals frequent this square to buy rare items, food, buskers, jewellery, clothing, and nick-nacks.
This market once used to sell vegetables along with slaves. This square is also famous for its art and music culture. The Old Town House here is home to the Michaelis Collection of art and a number of free concerts that take place on Greenmarket Square, including the annual community concert that forms part of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.
