September/October/November (Spring): Characterized by blooming flowers with shades of purple, pink and blue, longer days and warmer temperatures . However the months of spring can be unsettled and rain is not uncommon.
December/January/February (Summer): The summer months are your best chance of good hiking weather. Summers are the warmest time of the year, but days are not usually oppressively hot, and beaches and lakes are a great temperature to swim in. However, summers are usually too crowded.
March/April/May (Autumn/Fall): Days are slightly cooler but still settled, and trees in southern areas turn light up in hues of gold, orange and red.
June/July/August (Winter): A quieter time for hiking. There are still many crisp, clear days full of brilliant sunshine during this time of year.
