THE ISLAMIC GARDEN
Islamic garden is a fourfold garden with the four quarters of the garden were divided by irrigation channels. Gradually this division of the garden into four sections became accepted symbolically to represent the description of paradise in the Koran.
The four essential elements of the Islamic garden are: water for irrigation, shade, the chahar bagh( fourfold garden ) and a space separated from the outside, a private paradise.
