Islamic garden is a fourfold garden with the four quarters of the garden were divided by irrigation channels. Gradually this division of the garden into four sections became accepted symbolically to represent the description of paradise in the Koran.
The four essential elements of the Islamic garden are: water for irrigation, shade, the chahar bagh( fourfold garden ) and a space separated from the outside, a private paradise.

Look for

  • Terracotta bejmat tiles in a greenish turquoise glaze creating the illusion of running water.
  • Two pavilions surrounding the Islamic garden.
  • The tower offering view to the city and Atlas Mountains
  • Hand sculpted plasterwork, traditional tadelakt walls and ornate painted wooden ceilings and doors
  • Decorative benches: sit here and listen tothe trickle of water and feel the calmness of the garden
