Lumphini Park is a public space in Bangkok offering fresh air, shade, playground and an artificial lake. One can find joggers circling the park and people cycling around. Before World War I this was a museum later rebuilt into the first park in Bangkok.
The park is home to rare indigenous flora, a forest park, and the water monitor lizards. Artificial Lake here offers boating in its water. This is a perfect place to relax and watch people around you. You can find people doing aerobics, meditating, reading books or playing basketball.

There are food vendors camped outside the gates near the Rama VI statue selling 'pad thai' and ‘jim joom’.
