Whitewashed Memorial Chorten is famous for being a spiritual centre of the town. Built to honour the memory of the third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, this building features mandala paintings, wrathful deities, and richly painted annexes facing the cardinal directions.

People walk around the chorten, whirl the large red prayer wheels and pray at a small shrine inside the gate. Morning times are the best with tranquility all around.
