Musée d’Orsay is housed in a train station showcasing collection of Impressionist paintings. Apart from painting, sculpture, graphic arts, its collections also include works of architecture, decorative arts and photography.
Musee d'Orsay is housed in the former Gare d'Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station built between 1898 and 1900 in Paris and showcases 19th century paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography. This museum is also well renowned for its rich collection of impressionist works.
Do check out the paintings by French artists like Degas, Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, many others. Visitors also climb to the top of the museum to get a view of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica through the museum's massive transparent clock and also some photo-ops.
