Naggar is a small village about 20 kms from Kullu on the way to Manali. Naggar is famous for the Naggar castle which houses the Nicholas Roerich art museum. Moonlight dinner on the balcony of Hotel Castle restaurant is worth experiencing, with the lovely sight of twinkling lights below in the Beas valley.
There is an entry fee of Rs. 20 to visit the Naggar Castle or have lunch/dinner at cafeteria inside. Localites are free to move around and there is a temple inside which they keep visiting. The wood and rock architecture of the castle attracts a lot of visitors.
Places to see around the castle includes Old Krishna Temple,Roerich Art Gallery and Museum and Shiv Temple.
