Nordkette, Jewel of the Alps, is part of Austria's largest nature park, the Karwendel Nature Park. It can be reached from Innsbruck city center in just 20 minutes. The panoramic view from this mountain will be etched in your memories.
This mountain can be reached through the Hungerburg Funicular which has various stops on the way including the Alpine Zoo. At Nordkette, there are various hiking trails for all ages. Flat hiking trails to long tours from the Hungerburg can be taken.
How to reach
The Hungerburgbahn Funicular connects the old town of Innsbruck with the Hungerburg. From Hungerburg, Seegrubebahn cable car takes passengers till Seegrube. Further from Seegrube, Hafelekarbahn cable car takes passengers to Hafelekar Peak which is the highest viewing peak .
