Patscherkofel is a mountain to the south of Innsbruck and is a popular destination for hikers, mountainbikers and nature lovers. Patscherkofel can be reached through Patscherkofelbahn cable car from the village of Igls.
Most popular is Zirbenweg Trail leading through largest pine forest in Europe. On the way you will get many restaurants and huts for food.
The center of Igls can be reached by Tram, just 5 kms from north of Innsbruck. From here tourists climb up to Patscherkofel, The Olympic mountain, through cable car.
