The seven different waterfalls are harmoniously arranged sideways on a wide rugged cliff, seem distinct if watched from a distance and is specially fierce and beautiful after rainy season.Located 32 kms from Gangtok town, Seven Sister Waterfalls can be seen closely from a footbridge crossing over the stream.
A further climb up the steps leads to another kadeloscopic view of the waterfalls. Setting sun from here is specially awe-inspiring. It is the tourists hotspot who are keen into photography. It is also an ideal picnic spot for the families with kids. After Winters, when the snow melts the waterfall comes back to life and is an absolute delight to watch.
The Tourism and Civil Aviation Department has built a waiting shed and cafeteria for people to refresh themselves and shoot pictures of the waterfalls.
