Solang Valley, located at the top of Kullu Valley, is a well known tourist place in Himachal for skiing, mountaineering and trekking activities. During Summer season, Skiing activity is replaced by Zorbing, paragliding, parachuting and horse riding.

At a distance of 13 km from Manali city, Solang Valley offers stunning views of the snow capped mountain peaks and alluring glaciers. During summers, Solang Valley turns into best paragliding, Zorbing, and horse riding destination of Himachal Pradesh. In winters, the valley becomes a skiing paradise for all as it offers everyone to ski over fresh white snow.

The Mountaineering Institute of Manali has installed a ski lift for training purpose and there is a small hut and a guest house that belongs to the Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute. The winter skiing festival is also organized in Solang every year and the activities like Zorbing, Horse riding & Snow Motor Bikes riding are offered for the entertainment of tourists.
Solang Valley is also famous for its 300m ski lift.
The Ski Lift ticket is INR 500 per head for a trip both ways.
