Tegallalang Rice Terraces are terrace rice paddies, a traditional Balinese irrigation system known as subak. The lush green paddies and picturisque landscape is a tourist attraction.
The Tegalalang rice terrace is a short 20-minute drive north of Ubud. As weather in bali is hot, it is recommended to visit this place early in the morning or in the evening.
The locals have rice-field hats and a special rice carrying bamboo set-up. You can wear this set up and click few amazing pictures with the background of rice fields.
