Guided tour can enable you to spot species of birds which a normal eye could miss. It is suggested to head to Hobbs Beach, just a short walk from the ferry dock, to take a swim and spy on blue penguins in their nesting boxes.
The shop near the lighthouse sells books and souvenirs, such as bird hangings, fridge magnets, etc.

Best Time to Visit
If you want to see parent birds feeding their fledged chicks, late summer is the best time. If you want to stay overnight and hear the best of the dawn chorus, spring is the best time to come.
