Villa Cimbrone

 

Villa Cimbrone in Ravello is popular for its extensive gardens and fabulous views. The views of cultivated terraces on the hillside, as well as Maiori, Capo d'Orso and the Gulf of Salerno from this 20th villa is uncomparable in Amalfi Coast.

 

Terrace of Infinity

The villa's Belvedere, also known as Terrazza dell’Infinito, is decorated with marble sculptures which perfectly complements the blue sky and blue water below. This terrace is 1200 feet above and view from here leaves people awestruck !

From the terrace of infinity you can also seet he Cilento Mountains and the ancient city of Paestum.

 

Ally of Immensity

Also known as Viale dell’Immenso, it is a main walkway featuring a beautiful pergola (plant covered arch). The gardens are marked by temples and statues which further increases the beauty of Cimbrone.

Villa Rufolo

 

Villa Rufolo overlooks Piazza Vescovado church and presents a beautiful panaromic view of Amalfi Coast. Sir Francis Neville Reid, a Scottish botanist, fell in love with the Moorish towers of the villa and the expansive views it presents. He bought and renovated the Villa Rufolo.

Richard Wagner completed second act of Parsifal, an opera in this Villa. Since then Villa Rufolo has been hosting  an annual summer concert series that features piano concerts, chamber music, and a grand orchestral performance.

 

The Gardens of Villa Rufolo

The Gardens of Rufolo is a popular attraction in Amalfi Coast. Adorned with colorful flowers and set against the sky, the sea and the Church of the Annunziata below, these gardens charm the tourists with its beauty.

Because of the moorish architecture of the Towers especially Torre Maggiore which is the largest among these towers and the expansive gardens, Villa Rufolo has been designated as the smalller version of the famous Alhambra in Spain.
