Alexanderplatz is one of the most popular and liveliest square in Berlin, lies in the eastern centre of Berlin. A home to many tourist attractions in Berlin, Alexanderplatz also serves as important commute junction for the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, regional trains, trams and buses.
Earlier this square used to be a major market for farmers as well as a military parade and exercise ground. Later opening of popular department stores and good transport connectivity transformed this place as a popular shopping center in Berlin.
