Big Buddha is one of the most important landmark of Phuket. This statue sits at the top of the Nakkerd Hill between Chalong and Kata and is 45 meters tall. From here one can get the panaromic view of the island.
This is a perfect place for some alone and calm moments, only sounds which you can hear are of small tinkling bells and sothing religious music.
Few people also choose to hike to Nakkerd Hill which usually takes an hour. Beachwear, shorts, T-shirts with offensive texts are not allowed here.
