Moray is lacated 50 Kms from Cusco and is less crowded compared to the popular ruins nearby. Gradually the popularity is increasing because of its unique terraced circular depression imitating the look of Roman Amphitheatre. These terraces are designed in a way that creates 15 °C of temperature difference between topmost and lowermost terrace.
The Sites in Moray was likely used for farming and soil samples have shown that soils were brought in from different regions to be used in helping grow crops at the different levels of the terraces.
Trip to Moray is usually accompanied by a trip to the nearby salt flats of Maras. Set against the green mountains, these salt flats are popular for its beauty .
